La Petite Trotte A Leon
10pm last night saw the 1st of Chamonix’s Ultra events “La Petite Trotte” begin. A somewhat tongue in cheek title, the stats are 300km distance & 25000m or if you prefer 82,000ft of climbing! These 80+ intrepid individuals set off at 10pm from Chamonix town centre in teams of 2 or 3, and will walk / run the route over the next 4 days. We followed them out of town and as their headlamps traced up the trail toward Bel Lachat in the clear night it was a mix of awe and respect. Good luck to all the participants.
